Hi, guys and girls.

I have made some new carbon fibre bling for my Aygo this week. I thought you might like to see my results.

I made some headlight masks from 3mm laminated carbon sheet, and a pair of mirror covers to replace the painted items already fitted.

That looks very nice.... how did you make them?

You could start a nice little cottage industry if you wanted to

+1 those mirror covers are looking quite nice...

Cheers Guys and Girls

I made the masks out of laminated carbon sheet. I cut out a pattern, and then gentle heated it to make it more flexible while i stuck it on.

For the mirrors, I used an original cover to make a mould from. I then made a cover in carbon and bonded a set of lugs to match the originals on the back. The carbon cover then fits on as per the original, but weighs nearly half as much.

Love the headlights

Nice :)

I suggest sealing the edges of the carbon fibre sheets on the headlights with silicon sealant, because water will eventually separate the fibre layers from the laminate

I like the wheel too. What size have you got and do the tyres rub?

I always seal the laminate with model making epoxy resin. But, thanks for the suggestion.

The wheels are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 7x15 with 195/45x15 tyres. I had a little bit of a clearance issue with the fuel filler pipe. I fitted 3mm wheel spacers to sort this out. I have never had any rubbing issues, even when fully laden, or on trackdays.
