Mk3 Power Steering Stiff

Hi, has anyone had problems with their power steering, Mrs has a year 2000 roadster, the power steering works but seems to be a bit intermittent, sometimes you really have to wrench the steering wheel to get it to turn, other times its fine. I've looked under the bonnet and in the engine compartment but can't find a fluid reservoir. Does this mean its electric power steering? any comments/help much appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

Looked in the front of my car with a friend checking fluids and realised theres no P/S fluid resevoir and he suggested that it might share the brake fluid like his friends car, not sure if this is the case, somewhere to start though, will look in my book for you.

You need to remove the plastic from under the frunk, it's about 10 push rivets... just push the centres and lift them out, to the left side you will see the power steering reservoir and pump.
