Rav4.1 Diff Oils

Hello all again,

sorry to be a pain again but being a newbie there are plenty of questions still un-answered!!! :P

Does anyone have an idea how I can check the rear diff and transfer box oil level? getting a little noise/judder when pulling away for first time when cold and could possibly be just in need of a top up.

I will buy a Haynes manual soon to stop hassling you all

to check the oil levels just get the rav on level ground remove the filler plug and it should be level with the opening. dip your little finger in ad you should feel it or top it up until it start to flow back out. is it a thud or knock as it could be your rear diff mount that might need replacing (quite common). also gear box and tranfer box is all in one from what i know other peeps will confirm this im sure.
