Auto Lock Problem...

hi...i have an avensis on a 2001 (Y reg), problem is that when i unlock the car with the keyfob and open only the DRIVERS door, the car after 30 secs locks all the doors and sets the alarm...i dont get this problem if i open any other door ( the car remains unlocked)....can this be cured or can the auto lock feature be disabled...thanks

Seems that the ECU is not registering the driver door being opened.

You may need to get the ECU reprogrammed or get the switch in the door checked by an electrician or Toyota
