its actually air pressure as the sub is moving the air and forces it against the glass as if you booted it and yes if you had a powerful enough amp and cranked it right up with all the doors close you should be able to move a few panes

Yeah me mate was telling my that there was this guy who had an Subaru and kept blowing his windows out at shows cos his sound system was powerful enought and there was little air escaping the car. Bit of an expensive way yo show off

possible if the panels flex in anyway altho unlikely on a big install car cos they will have tons of soundproofing. i saw a civic a few years back that had a layer of concrete in the floor!

youll see most SPL cars will have some sort of brace that they fix over the glass to stop it flexing and vibrating, or bullet proof glass on some of the buggers!

Power and Subwoofer size helps of course, But it's all about finding the resonatate Frequency of the vehicle and the glass, I've built a couple of larger SPL systems over the years, Hit the resonant freq in a vehicle you get a 3 DB boost with no extra effort, Design the box and subwoofer system to work at it's best at that point and you get a lot of extra volume with less effort.

Bass is good!
