Pinking Noise Gone

thx for the advise all of it was wrong . everyone kept telling me its a normal diesel sound when your labouring the engine . keep the revs higher . BUT it wasnt it was the v belt tentioner not working so when i put my foot down it was rattling . so if anyone has the same noise get it looked at

Difficult to diagnose a ‘sound’ unless it’s heard, did you post a video anywhere?

glad to hear it's sorted, as reece said it's very hard to find out the actual problem without being there to hear/see. everyone can only suggest solutions best on past experiences but may not be the exact same problem that you have, to expect the correct diagnosis from suggestions would be silly. only use club websites as an advisory tool which has been very helpful for me in the past when i go to garages and give them possibilities of the problem on my car and have been right due to people taking their time out to reply to my posts.
