My Wide Body Kit Needs Help.

Hello I am a new member here. I am looking for someone who might be able to offer some advice or experience in the issues im facing with my wide body kit im fitting on my 2001 Celica SX. For those who wish to look it up I am currently fitting the K1 wide body kit (just google it..you'll find a blue celica showing it off) The issues are at the rear wheel arch as the arch flare pieces bolt straight on top of the original body..leaving the original piece in my way if I wish to get wider tyres or just space out my current ones. Whats the solution for this? Cut into the original body and put a modified piece in there?? Below is a picture giving you an idea of what i mean. Thanks in advance for any help.

if it was mine i wud trim the old arch out as you can see it an it will look bad when its all done, from the picture it looks like it is fitted to high but its just a picture an if it is fitted right then you really need to mark the piece you need to cut away an then take the kit back off an cut it away an then weld the inner arch an outer arch pieces back together if that makes sense, then put the kit back on an you wont be able to see it
