Can anyone tell me how do i know when the a/c needs a top up, mine does'nt seem to be blowing as cold as it has been

so is there a way of knowing, i don't want to pay £45-£50 if it is full and the problem is elsewhere.

THANKS

Have you checked that the pollen filter is clean?. Also the temperature of the air from the ac evaporator is dependent on the temp of the air coming in. In the recent hot weather the system will take longer to cool the car.

hello DAVID

Firstly you'd be assured that a fron refrigerant heat exchanger is clean enebling the gas to be cooled/converted into liquid before thermo expansion valve.

Secondly you'd check with a salon filter condition.

In third check both suction and delivery tubes temperatures (by hand) at running mode (let say adjust +16 C in the salon). In case delivery tube is not hot then the system got leaked and you have to find this leak before re-gasing.

Cheers/Igor
