basicaly drive it sensibly for 500-1000 miles. no need to re torque the head just give it a good look over

when its warm give it a little boost every now and then and vary your speed. dont sit at a constant speed for long periods (ie motorway, in fact if you drive on the motorway its best to stay in the slow lane and just accelerate and slow down around the lorries.)

keep the revs under 4000.

i ran mine in for 500 miles as ive always done and on the last engine (the one that had rod failure) the rings were perfectly sealed, no dirty mark on the skirt.

that was ran in as above and did see boost (1.8bar a couple of times  ) change your oil and filter at about 500 miles if your going the full 1000.

also make sure you use bog std mineral oil in it while running it in.

yeh i have altered the speed when motorway driving. never gone above 4000rpm but let it go onto boost on the odd occasion. can help myself, when that turbo starts to spool i have to fight really hard not to just plant it! I used millers running in oil as advised by fensport. what oil should i choose now as i will be changing the oil and filter this weekend

same again bud. good choice on oil. the millers running in oil gives good protection for the turbo.

is she running well?
