Prius 2 Aircon Not Working

The aircon on my 2006 prius is not working. I have checked and it is pressured up but no power goes to the electric compressor. I do not hear any relays click etc. Does anyone know which relays and fuses are for the air con so I can check them?

Sorry. I cannot help with this one; all I can suggest is go to your Toyota dealer.

It is annoying not having any replies to your query but perhaps folk do not know the answer!!

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Regards. Chris.

I don't think we have any mechanics here or at least none have ever posted that I can recall in my short time here.

I am interested in the technical side of the Prius, but I doubt that I'll ever work on the car. Anyway, I've posted some potential sources of information at the end of this post.

The power that goes to the electric compressor is carried on an orange cable from a separate A/C circuit in the inverter, it is 201.6V AC (Alternating Current), so a potential killer if you don't know what you are doing.

The Prius Repair Manual is available for download in PDF format for the price of a subscription (hourly and daily rates are available) from http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/

Alternatively, there was what appears to be an american version of the 2006 Prius Repair Manual for download on a European site. Try putting "EU 2006 Prius Repair Manual" into google.
