I would have thought that the inside of the IQ was designed to be soft and compliant so that the occupants are less likely to be injured in the event of a collision.

The door panels scratching so easily are a bit of a worry but others have posted a potential solution to that on these forums.

Did you not sit in the car or have a test drive before you placed your order?.............You surely noticed all the things on the video?

this isn't my video just observed it on youtube and was sure the IQ I sat in was more sturdy than the looks of this...

It could be a "Spoof" video..............clever.

I too would expect the IQ to have a more rigid interior than that shown on the video

Oh dear :( That doesn’t look too promising, I’ve seen Rovers nailed together better than that

We have had our iQ since February and still have not scratched or marked the inside panels (although I admit it would not be difficult to do, we just make sure we don't, and that isn't difficult either), and the rest of the fit and finish is fine too.

I expect if you decided to push and pull and prod at other cars inside fittings you could get a bit of free play too, again we don't find any problem with the iQ.

Never done that to a car (let alone mine) and it looks a bit .........................fake?

Well, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my interior.

Maybe he pulled out the odd screw before the vid?

I've had an annoying rattle from the interior light (which is cheap and shoddy!), but my dealer replaced it, and it is now less of a problem.

Otherwise, all's well.

I took the IQ out for a spin today. Had a good fiddle around inside, and couldn't do any of the things in the vid!

That bloke must have been cheating!

I'm sorry, but either that clip is a huge fake and the guy has removed some screws, or it was badly put together and he should take it back to his dealer.

The area around the gear-lever must have been tampered with as mine does not move at all. The passenger seat too, come one....mine is solid

I would agree that the little flap for the Aux/MP3 connection is a little home made feeling.

Thanks to everyone that replied on this one. As I personally don't have my IQ yet I was worried about that vid but you have all put my mind at rest.

Cheers!
