Istyle / Kickplates

I've got a base IQ & added the iStyle pack when ordering. They said the exterior chrome trims were ok, but the kickplates that sit on the interior sills were out of stock.

I took delivery of the car without the kickplates and have been asking my dealer when the kickplates are available.

They now have them, but won't release them to me (I'd fit them myself). Instead they want to book my car in so they can fit them - surely they are just stick-on things? How hard can it be?

FYI - It's more inconvenient for me as the dealer I bought it from is near where my girlfriend lives (25 miles away) and hence I can only get there on a Saturday.

Is anyone else in this situation, or does have the kickplates already fitted?

I bought them separately and fitted them using the Accessory Installationn Guide for positioning.

Sticky tape on the back, no problem.

Surely they are effectively yours and fitting them yourself can't violate any warranty issues.
