Disaster!

Hi all,

I was driving along quite the thing last night when all of a sudden i was hearing and feeling something strange coming near side front wheel, straight away i feared that it was the superstruts, however on investigation it was my alloy just away to fall off! i have sheered the bolts that hold the alloy on! can you bore these bad boys out or is it a new hub?

p.s. just had new tyres fitted and the guys doing it must have forgottn to nip the nut up!

you can buy new studs and they just press into the drive flange. best way is knock the old ones out (after removing disc and calliper) pass the new stud through the hole then using a wheel nut and a spacer pull the new one through.

id get intouch with the company that fitted the tyres as they are responsable and should put it right.

i feared the worst when i read the title, glad its just a wheel, sort of.

Trading Standards is a good threat to use ;)

Unfortunatley they have a disclaimer stating you should check them after 50miles

I would still speak to Trading Standards.... in some cases disclaimers are worthless ;)

toyota or eBay. infact you can get them on eBay that are longer than stock if you ever thought about using spacers. other than that MR T or a breakers. IIRC all toyotas have the same studs. they just knock out so no problem.
