Revs Dropping Very Low

anyone got any clues as to why my car ticks over very low on the revs infact it nearly cuts over it drops so low

Well I dont know what motor you have, but if the revs are dipping

low and then pick up a couple of times a minute you might want

to have a look at your air flow meter.

well that was the cause of my problem

If you have a clogged/dirtt fuel filter it will starve the enigne causing slow tick over and possible stalling.

With the engine off and with a rag over the bolt undo the bolt at the end of the fuel rail where the regulator is, fuel should squirt out at high pressure (mind your eyes) if it doesnt then you have pressure/flow problems caused by either a dodgy filter or knackered pump (unlikely)
