Vibration & A Clunking Noise Gen 6

Hi All,

Driving home today at 80ish mph a bad vibration and an occasional knocking noise coming from the front.

The vibration through the steering wheel feels like the balance or a buckle but I know they are spot on.

My car has just had new refurbished alloys (3 days ago) on and they are all on without any loose nuts.

I have stayed away from kerbs and all the balance weights still seem to be attached.

Everything seems fine and tight.

The vibration turns into a bit of a fast clonking at lower speeds and the vibration can vary depending on speed.

Has anyone had a similar experience.

I am going to Kwick Fits in the morning to check the wheel alignment and camber if they can do it.

Does anyone know if there is a prefered angle that would suit. (unsure)..

Could it be a half shaft etc... Im totally unsure but all i know is that im not happy driving her.

If anybodys got any ideas it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Big E

Its ok now... DOnt Panic anybody. It works out that when I got the wheels refurbed the guy did not balance them properly.

Now its all ok and the panic is over.

It wierd that something so small can cause so much panic.

It goes to show that you think you can trust workpeople to get things right then you need another one to put it right....

Cheers
