I own a 1993 toyota Celica ST and am slowly upgrading it.

I have come across a 1992 GT4 front clipp from Japan and am thinking on upgrading. Will it work? will it be worth it?

the clipp is complete w/turbo engine and 5 spd trani.

pluss wire harness, cooling systems, etc.

am I taking on to large of a upgrade? will I have problems w/smog, linkages, ign. etc?

Thanks!

Possible but BIG job.

100% more sensible to just buy a GT4 if you want that kinda power, because upgrading a non turbo celica to a gt4 engine means your gonna spend most likely more money than it would cost to buy a GT4 anyway and its never going to be as good as the real GT4.

Just my 2 pence

You'll need to junk the gearbox and get one from an MR2 TURBO. The GT4 (obviously) is a 4 wheel drive car, yours isn't and unless you are some kind of engineering wizard with access to jigs and welders etc you wont be able to convert the body to take the rear axle you'd need to utilise the 4wd gearbox. If you go ahead make sure you get a gearbox with limited slip differential as you are going to be trying to get 240+ bhp down through the front wheels, without it the torque steer will be a killer.
