Dc Jack

I'm sure that someone can help me !!!

My laptop DC jack has broken. It is a 'Tiny' model, quite a few years old but still works OK. ( until now ).

I have been quoted around £100 to repair it, but it is not worth that much.

I have seen the jack advertised for £3, but how easy is it to install ? If anyone has already done this type of repair please let me know. I am quite nimble with a soldering iron and can easily get the old jack out of the machine.

it will be very easy to install . just have some flux and copper braid to remove old solder from old power point , be carefull not to be eager and break a pad from the PCB . once its out simply insert new plug and solder up the pins .
