Dab Ready?

Just got an alpine 7893R fitted (will get some pics later today), it says its DAB ready, just wondering what that means? what extra bits do i need appart rom an aerial

It will recieve Digital Radio or DAB :) Don't think you need any extra bits.

I thought DAB ready means you have to still add the dab tuner as only a few DAB radios.

thats what i thought. kind of interested, if it works out cheaper buying a dab addon to a headunit.

It means that you can attach an Alpine dab tuner to it. Take a look here

but it isn't cheap.

Yeah i read the manuel and it said that :)

Anyone know if i can fit another companys onto it or does it have to be alpine?

no its got to be alpine and its about 400 quid!

I reallllllllly want an Alpine my self cos they have the best sound quality next to Nachamitchi (which sound amazing but look plain to say the least)

Do Alpine stereos like the the one that u have Toady have Visualisations like Media player has. I reallly want something like that.

No they don't, there just functional. Its got a thing that moves when sound comes out to show the levels on a wheel but the sound difference from ym old unit to this one is amazing!

As i said, i will get round to getting some pics of my install soon, just not been ****d yet :)
