If you go back a page to the main Yaris Forum you'll see an "Important Topics" section at the top. In there you'll find a "Yaris How To's And Useful Information" topic. In there you'll find quite a few headunit guides. I followed the one called "Fitting an aftermarket headunit to a phase 2 Yaris with detailed pics!" by Matt for my 2004 Yaris and it is excellent. Obviously you'll need one of the other ones if your car is a phase 1. If your model is more recent than the phase 2 I'm not sure there's a guide yet but may be wrong.

It is a bit of a faff to do but the instructions are very good and if you're not used to doing this kind of thing be prepared for some heavy duty panic when you get half way through and realise you've taken your car half to bits. :) Stay calm.

Hope this helps and good luck,

Mick

Don't worry, it's actually easier than you might think! It takes a bit of time the first time you do it, but once you know where everything is you can do it pretty quick!

Also, another good resource is http://www.fitaudio.com/

Has lots of good how tos, although is a bit out of date

That's the problem, you can't bottle it half way through!!! Once you've got half way through, half the dash is sitting in the footwell or the back seat! You've got no speedo or instrumentation, so bottling it and driving it to a garage is tricky. It is half way through that you may want to bottle it but you can't. No. At this point, feel the fear, have a cry, take a deep breath then carry on!

Only joking, you'll be fine with those instructions.

Take it easy and enjoy tunes when you get it all installed. :D

Later,

Mick
