What's The Button In The Trunk?

What's that button on the left (eg. not on driver's side) in the trunk? It is about at the same level to which the trunk cover lands when you close your trunk.

The button seems like the ones on the doors: on one position it shows red and in other it's black. But I did not notice it to affect on how the trunk's door is acting.

I noticed the button also before, but only today I became very curious about it's purpose. I tried to look from the owner's manual, but did not find anything about it... Maybe someone on the forum could help me with that? :)

Is it not the alarm sensor button when lid lifted by a intruder it sets alarm off ?

My car has the same and does turn off the sensors :)
