2006 Verso 1.6sx (znr10) Automatic Door Lock / Anti Hijack

Hello all - I have a 2006 Corolla Verso 1.6SX (model ZNR10) and would like to know if it is possible to have the doors automatically lock on pullaway.

We live in South Africa - Hijack capital of the world - and find the omission of this feature quite annoying.

The car is a stock standard 1.6 and has NO toyota alarm...

I've checked with the local dealer in the town where I live (there is only one Toyota dealer here :( ) and they say they don't know for sure but think that it is not possible.

I find this hard to believe - anyone else have a 2006 Verso without alarm (ZNR10) with automatic locking doors?

I think you will find the specification of South African cars are totally different to europe ones, I don't even think we have a 1.6SX in this country...

My 2.2 SR doesn't have this feature and nor does my mates 1.8T3....

You can get alarms for not much money that will lock your doors when you move off, TOAD and CLIFFORD to name but two... maybe thats the way to go
