Hello All,

I live in Cyprus and just bought a used IQ from Japan and owners manual is missing.. :blushing:

Can anyone explains to me how to save radio channels on FM1?

I know this isn't nuclear science but I really cannot figure this out. :bored:

Thanks!!

Hi and welcome to the forum. :)

I've got the manual and still struggle to do that!

If no one tells you how to do it before I get home I'll try to copy and post the pages from the manual then maybe work it out from there.

Hello there

Assuming your wanting to listen to the FM band. Simply choose fm, go up and down until you find the station of your choice, then say you wanted to save it on position 1, you touch number 1 and keep your finger on it until you here a beep and its save on 1. If you disconnect your Battery you will have to do it all again

Doing it manually is best. As follows:

Press and hold MODE until you hear a beep.

MENU appears on the display

Press MODE several times until SET is displayed.

Search for desired station by pressing 'up' or 'down' on the joystick.

Select one of the preset stations (CH1-6) by pressing volume '+' or '-' on the joystick.

Press and hold '+' or '-' on joystick for the station the current preset is to be set to, until you hear a beep.

--END--

Hope this helps you dude :)

If I recall correctly presets are saved on FM3 -just something to be aware of.

This has to be the most unintuitive car radio I have ever
encountered. Passengers can't safely
alter the volume, change stations or chose CD or aux. Crazy! The design doesn't even give me the opportunity
to fit a standard DIN radio.

It's saving grace is the excellent sound quality, this

coupled to the IQ's quiet interior, makes listening to music, news or talking
books easy and at low volumes and the ability to play mp3/WMA discs is very
useful. Strange, most new cars have dispensed
with a CD player altogether, I suppose one good thing about the non nav radio
is who would want to steal it, unless theirs is broken. In fact, at a glance, it looks to all intents
and purposes it doesn't have a radio. I
suppose I will get used to it eventually.

I think that if you change the CD-slot for a "cover for the satnav-thing" So..just the plastic..... there is room for a dubble-din radio...

Some have done this.... so there must be some data somewhere...

Thanks sweet-dentist,

I had this in mind, but had and still have no idea how to go about this. Some pointers would be helpful if someone has already done it. I assume a 2013 IQ would still be the same as the earlier models.

I did a costing for a guy who wanted to fit the Mr T Tns 510 sat nav and needed the housing for it. The top plastic unit is around £250!!! On its own comprising of 5 plastic parts to make it up. Worst is you would still need the special brackets to hold the 2 Din radio at from memory about £17 the pair

Phew, I don't think I'll bother, I wonder why these parts are sooooo expensive?
