Hi fellow T180 owners and forum contributors.

Today i decided to PX the T180 which i have owned for over 3 years now for a Mercedes E320cdi Estate.

The Rav T180 has been er.....interesting, and a lot of help to overcome issues has been raised on this wonderful forum. Although i have not been a major contributor i have put my two pennith worth in when i felt required.

From this forum i have secured the following replacements in order of priority-

1) Replacement engine and other associated parts.

2) Replacement black leather drivers seat cover

3) 2 EGR valves (prior to new engine)

4) Updated gear lever cables

5) Replacement Serpent belt

6) Numerous free car wash's when having bits done at the dealer!

7) Sadly no alternative to the !Removed! BSR's.

So farewell my fellow Rav(ers) its been emotional.

Finally against the rules i expect but i have for sale-

1x Genuine 18inch Rav Alloy wheel with Bridgestone Tyre (BSR Removed and is available too) Were used as an emergency spare, complete with a nice wheel/tyre cover.

A Full set of brand new Rav 4 mats x 4 - Still in original packaging and hanger

A very rare Rav4 Dog Guard (Genuine Toyota) fits the 2006 onwards (mines the 2007 T180).

All of the above will be going on eBay but you can have 1st refusal.

Call me 07721 494350.

I'm Gone!

Thanks Davrav.

I have the site saved as one of my favourites so i always have a look to see what is current!

Always happy to add my bit if it helps.

Also the Dog Guard is more of a " Cargo Net" that fits into the slots above the rear load cover - sorry had to get that in!

To be honest since the engine was fitted i have not checked the oil...i will check it this morning.

It still like to "Chuff" out loads of smoke but i guess this is the EGR purging itself?

I don't think i would want to be following when it does ot though, i can see the smoke or soot or whatever it is in the review mirror!

How many miles have you done since the new engine was fitted?

Whiat is your reason for sellling up?

2800 miles on exchange unit - still quite tight!

I do a fair bit of caravaning each year and although the Rav is excellent i needed a bit more space in the rear hence the E Class Estate plus it is an Auto which is what I want when towing down to Spain!

Another issue is once coupled up to the caravan you cannot get the rear door open very far which is a pain at times.

The Merc tows a bit more (2100kg) as apposed to 2000kg (Rav). The Merc has a bit quite a more BHP and Torque and hopefully better fuel economy (which has never been anywhere near what Toyota claim for the T180)
