New Gearbox

at my last service i complained about a very faint whine on the overrun, was told that i had a gearbox problem! (suspected 4th gear bearing according to the toyota mechanic), so i decided to go on the hunt for a gearbox, found one with 32,000 for a terry tibbs £250! so decided to do the clutch whilst i was there! well happy with the result!

im thinking taking my old box to my mechanic and get all the bearings changed and either keep for a rainy day or put on eBay!

just curious to know the price of the bearings? (not sure if anyone would have a clue)

Sell the gearbox and use the money to re-furb your wheels

10 ft! they do need a little tlc again as usual! this time i got a good price!

hows it going LAA! i went with a place i know in upper noorwood called fleetways have used them for years for clutches and they have never let me down! great quality and great price!

was your gearbox from a breakers? i'm on the hunt for a box myself due to suspected bearing issues, mines on every gear and more pronounced sounding at certain speeds.

kool, i havent noticed any funny sounds in mind but i just want to make sure i dont have to experience getting a new gearbox!
