Here goes can you fit a sunroof in the Aygo ?

Posted

Yes, but toyota won't do it. It costs about £800-900 (including fitting) from Citroen (for their C1)

Or you could buy it from these guys and get someone to fit it for you

The Aygo leaks enough without cutting a big hole in the roof

After market sunroofs are notorious for leaking, they are never the same as a properly designed one built in the factory...

Jan | Murciélaygo has fitted a sunroof in his Aygo.

It's a Webasto Hollandia 300 DeLuxe, full Electonic with presets, auto-close and a built in blind.

why would you want a sunroof living in wales????????

I live in the Netherlands, wher ethe wheather is similar to the UK and the car depicted above is mine, so I can answer that...

A sunroof makes the car brighter inside, gives more and different ventilation than opening the windows

does and it cools you down in a more pleasant way than the A/C does up to a certain speed.

I even crack open the sunroof when it's raining sometime, as it's

helpfull with defogging the car and the aerodynamics still keep me dry.

It's a general misconception that sunroofs or convertibles are only usefull in hot climates,

with temperatures above freezing it can be quite comfortable and even in our summers it's superb!

I actually had my sunroof open on the drive home today and a customer

at work drove up with the ragtop on his Peugeot Partner opened up...

Sunroofs never interested me that much untill my previous car; a T-Topped Nissan 100NX.

When I bought the car I thought I'd probably never use the T-top, but after having used it a

couple of times I opened it up whenever wheather allowed.

With the sunroof I drive "topless" even more, as opening up is only the push of a button now...

Here's a pic of the sunroof in action:

The Hollandia video shows a rather pretty yellow 107 with 'twin' sunroof!!!

Overkill in such a small car?

Given the biscuit tin nature of the car, the addition of glass that is thicker than the biscuit tin with the added sound deadening / bracing from the sunroof, i wouldn't have thought it would be any more noisy with it fitted, probably less so if anything.

I also have a sunroof - it's called an S2000.

If you haven't owned a convertible ( and driven it all year round ) you are missing out.
