Bonnet Wont Open

can anyone tell me how to get the bonnet open on a aygo 55 plate.

the cable has not snapped.

had my hand up from underneath and can feel the catch but can't open it.

is there a way without taking the whole front bumper off ???

From the front about 14 inches along the bonnet from the right hand side slide in a blade such as a butter knife and lift the paddle that releases the catch.

It also helps if somebody can take the load off the catch.

ie, while you are trying to slide the catch, have somebody lean on the bonnet with the flats of both hands.

Sounds the same method as my Yaris used to be, bit difficult if you don't open the bonnet often lol
