Please Help I Lost All Smart Keys

I lost all smart keys of my car can you guys give me solutions?

Is there no hope of you finding even one?

There is no good resolution I'm afraid; The official fix would be to go to Toyota for a replacement ECU and lock barrels, but this is very expensive. IIRC the ECU alone is about a grand.

An alternative is there are some auto-locksmiths who specialize in hacking the ECU to program a new key into it, but this will require you to send them the whole ECU and will still cost hundreds, and if you have lost the keys you may still need new barrels.

I would have thought a dealer would be able to access the Toyota database and find out the codes to get new keys without replacing everything. They'd be Toyota keys, so expensive, but still way cheaper than new locks and ECU.

Worth an ask.

Not sure a locksmith will be able to do much if you have 0 keys.

Otherwise a 'new' set of locks and ECU from a scrapper perhaps.

Aside from "My ex threw all the keys in the river" I'm struggling to imagine how you managed to lose all the keys

When I imported they lost the keys on the boat I had to push the car with my cousins car to my House.

So I'm searching for a solution but it looks like I have to buy a new Ignition kit or a new Smart Key System for the car that already as keys programmed

if it were me i would be getting in touch with who you bought it from and see if they have a solution or at very least they should cover the costs to get it sorted

Yeah, this would be the dictionary definition of not fit for purpose!!!

It's not your problem if they lost the keys in transit; That's up to the seller to deal with with the shipping company!!!

Unfortunately that is not necessarily true. It depends on when the title transferred, etc. The Ts & Cs of many suppliers state that once an item leaves them it's the buyer's responsibility, so although the supplier should help it may be up to the buyer to chase/sue the shipping company and there may be no legal right to claim the goods aren't fit.

It's a royal pain, but without knowing all the legal contracts involved we can't really advise this one.

Ok can someone tell me exactly what needs to be replaced? I will buy used parts from a car (same model)

At the very least I'd imagine an ECU (WITH THE KEYS!!!) and lock barrels for anything that has lock barrels. (For mine, it'd be driver's side door, ignition and boot lid; As yours is smart entry, it may only have emergency keys for the driver's side door and boot, or maybe even none at all!)

There may be other stuff, but I'm not sure what...

Frankly if you try to diy, you are wasting time and money.

It requires trained help to do it properly.

And frankly I doubt - for security reasons - anyone who knows will tell you.

For all we know the car could be stolen.
