I took a chance and installed a USB/Bluetooth adapter, which was not listed for my car or audio system - W53828. This cost £52.50 free post. After receiving my trim tools from eBay the work began. I found a guide on the net on how to remove the trim to get to the rear of the stereo. First was the top vent then the passenger side trim near the heater controls. After removing the stereo, the CD changer port was empty so I plug the adapter cable in. A quick test with one of my USB memory stic
Update! The adapter bluetooth allows calls to be taken, no matter which source is in use. That means I both my phones are available to be answered (though not at the same time). I was listening to the radio when a call came in through the adapters bluetooth. That was the final test, because I thought stereo had to be in adapter/USB mode to receive calls. The system simply switches. Even though the car already had bluetooth, it was limited to one phone, and handle calls only. Not music playback
