injector loose

Most likely a loose or broken injector clamp allowing the injector to move and seals to fail. Best to replace the clamp, injector seals and rocker cover gasket.

Afraid so, you will also need 4 x seals between rocker cover and injector pipe the one in your picture already looks to be leaking

You need an injector seating tool to get rid of the crud and loosen the old seal. Would an old wood chisel do the job ?

My picture above should suffice

11176 - is the metal washer you had difficulty removing

96721- is a rubber "o" ring that seats in a groove 1/3 way up the injector

23256 - is a lager rubber seal that seats in a larger groove about 1/2 way on the injector

there are also large "top hat" seals that push into the rocker cover where the fuel pipes join the injector
