Hi all,

Thought you might like to see some photos of our Rav. An R reg with only 107000 miles on the clock, we bought it locally from a small dealer as a stop gap until we could find a clean, tidy, RELIABLE Freelander TD4 replacement for the Freelander TD4 we had recently sold. The Rav has had a few owners but is immaculate inside and out and so endeared are we with it that we have now decided to forgo buying a Freelander and instead we will be running the Rav for the forseeable future.

Being OAPs living on a limited budget, reliability, cost of ownership and the initial purchase cost are really important, and fingers crossed the Rav scores full marks on all of the aforementioned. We love the colour for a number of reasons some of which are: Easy to find in a packed car park as she sticks out like a sore thumb and its a very safe colour as other motorists and pedestrians can see you coming from a mile away.

Cheers.

Looks very smart, and nice to see the red paintwork bright and shiny, must have been looked after in its life .

Great choice and great looking Rav. In my humble experience you have had a narrow escape with a Freelander etc.

The Rav if looked after should do everything you ask of it and more...again in my humble experience.

Lovely wee Rav!

Hi guys,

This is my first Rav4 after owning an Avensis many years ago.

I still have my IQ3 which I love to bits!

I look forward to your reply on my car - I think it looks nice in met grey with the chrome bits on the rear lights and side slabs/rear step, will be good to hear your views...

THIS CAR IS FOR SALE!!! I live in Essex. If you are interested, give me a shout!!!

46,000 miles, full main agent history, last serviced in Oct'13 at 42k, absolutely mint!

Cheers,

S

Dug out a picture of my "old" Rav to show you too!!

A 55 plate XT-R D4D on the Isle of Wight Ferry last summer, parked next to her bigger Amazon brother! cool.gif

Traded her in for my T180 in Jan this year.

Heres a couple of mine I picked up a couple of weeks ago, needs a few bits doing but not bad for an 18 year old car. Managed to relieve a breaker of its arches yesterday so will get those on soon.

This is my little beauty.

A 1998 4.1, 3 door in immaculate condition inside and out. She"s been off the road all summer because I bought a little Smart car so my Wife and I could visit some far off places we haven"t been to in years and in doing that I was averaging 60+mpg. I wish my Rav could do that!

I might change the Rav for a Diesel next year, but it will have to be an Automatic as I just love driving automatics.

Cheers all

Our loaded blue 2-door RAV4 XA2 is no more.. we sold it. To be exactly, we trade it in for a brand new Corolla 2.0L hybrid Touring Sport.

The RAV4 was a great car. No big repairs and drove it for 13 years. Only the fuel consumption was too much.. the 2.0 Corolla does double the MPG. With 180HP.
