Hi,
Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
I've decided to replace the crappy Toyota speakers with something that will sound much better.
After looking at the oem speakers and the connection plug I decided to use that plug on the new speakers.
I ripped the speaker cone so I could get a soldering iron in there (speakers can be had for a few pounds if I decide to sell the car) after disconnecting the small copper wire it's possible to pull the wire thru and using again the soldering iron behind the plug to take the wire from there it's easy enough to pull the clip out and re solder the copper wires back on (picture) I'm sure it's possible to buy these clips but hey-ho.
I'm waiting on some spacers and backing foam to arrive but I thought this would be a ideal pointer for anyone wanting to upgrade their speakers.
