Toyota Lies

I recently asked the forum for advice, my father in law had purchased a 52 plate d4d which only had a sub key. Toyota stated that a duplicate key could not be made from the sub key and the only way to replace the keys was to replace the ecu plus 3 new keys, at a cost of £1000.

After the forum's advice I found S + S Locksmiths North Road Darlinngton. They produced a duplicate key that works fine at a cost of £58 plus vat. ( This key isn't remote control) Done in minutes absolutely no problem and approximately £932 pounds cheaper than the dealer plus a lot quicker. They can do remote keys.

Thanks for all your help. Hope this may help someone!!

Disint you know the key number. coz if you do know it they can get new keys for your car, with remotes. these keys will be master keys and not sub keys

Hi Rob

Well done buddy theres nothing worst then when you are told false information and the fact that Toyota have told you this. Now you should take the key down to Toyota and show them this. And see there faces  And dont for get to tell them the money that you have saved as well too ;)
