hi people

my mr2 seems to have really heavy steering it is much heavier than it sould be and i wondered if you had any ideas of what could cause this

215/40/17

i need to check tire pressures but im not sure what the pressure is on 215/40/17

check this thread for the tyre pressure advice.

Other things that can cause this is.. faulty steering rack, power steering pump/belt, or if it is heavier turning one way than it is the other, it could simply be the wheel allignment is out.

Don't mess about with your steering, if YOU don't now what's wrong, get it checked by a proffesional ASAP.

Apparently there is a relay in the power steering ECU that tends to stick, it could be that. Also its worth checking you have enough power steering fluid.
