Constant 12v +

hey..

installed my new ICE..

minus is fine..

plus is the old one..

but the remote.. needs constant 12v (even when the switch is off)..

i tried the lighter.. no luck..

besides a direct connection to the Battery.. any other suggestions?

I take it you didn't get the adaptor?

I think it's the gray wire, I've been looking through the how to's and the gray wire is connected to the remote wire.

check the link, I know it's about connecting an amp, but it may work

remote, we talking in terms of a remote for the amp, in which case, wack it to the back of the headunit!

If you are using the standard HU like i did in my last car with an amp!

I just spliced the remote lead into the 12v supply to the cigarette lighter, i dont see why it wouldnt work for you!

Did you splice it in or cut the wire to the lighter completly?

spliced it in..

but the lighter doesnt get +'s when the switch is off :(
