I drove home today with the traction control turned off and the car seemed a lot more happy to rev and more responsive.

anyone else noticed this?

I've never switched mine off, if you switch the TC off does that also switch the VSC off or is that independant...

all i know is that i switched it off tonight as i was having a play with a tsport and things got out of shape because the wheels just wanted to spin at every opportunity.

You can turn traction on and off, but VSC is constantly on. Find this out by hammering it around a wet roundabout (on a test track of course) and turn the traction off and listen to some bleeping noise. Which is a warning to tell you that you've pushed your luck.

There was a topic about it yonks ago http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56978
