Rear Discs Rev1

First question,

My MR2 is due for MOT next month and I have noticed my rear discs are looking a bit scruffy round the edges, is this an MOT failure?

Secondly,

Does anyone know how hard it is to change the discs?

Only job I have tackled recently was replacing my front pads, took 15 mins a side!

Any pointers would be fantastic!

No need to bleed the brakes at all, the only thing you might have to do is make sure the reservoir doesn't overflow when you wind the pistons back

Scruffy brake discs wont fail, its brake load that will.

Unless theyre absolutely wrecked through corrosion then it should be ok

I think they make a comment/advisory about that, either adjust or replace.

Worst case there is you forget to leave it in gear, the brakes contract and it disappears and ends up stuck in something solid

Mines rolled back into the garage several times after its been out for a thrash, and the handbrake is pretty decent lol

Ive never done it on the 2 but i have reason to believe its done half way up the system behind the undertrays!

Theres two extension bolts that you tweek to tighten it up...
