Introducing My Auris!

Made a new mod and changed halogens to white LED lights inside the car and in the trunk.

I did also post my brake pedals' pad back to the shop to get it changed because the anti-slip rubber

started to fall off! Now I've installed the new one, pictures of pedal pads and a footrest for the left leg

coming soon!

Here's one more night shot taken in the rain:

I really like your car..

I have also Auris with same colour and have 8000 k xenon and led lights for plate.

Tomorrow I will buy chrome door handle and next month I will buy chrome for back of the car like you.

I want to ask that how did you remove Auris and Toyota signs from back?

Chrome door handles? Sounds cool. Where did you find them? Haven't seen on the Internet...

I've been considering to add some chrome mirror covers, but haven't found them yet neither.

I removed the model signs from the back with my fingers/nails: Just grabbed the corner of the text

and pulled very hard. It took me less than 5 minutes and no risk to scratch the car. Most of the glue

will stay on the backside of the signs, but the rest of it you can wipe using wet cloth and then dry/

polish with some soft cloth (towel is great for this job). The result will be superb! Good luck

if you are looking for more power try and get a custom sports CAT done to your car,

auris are restricted in power as of most economy cars for better petrol,

i got my car looked at by a exhaust specialist and he said that the auris has such a big CAT its restricting about 20bhp,

try and find a local custom exhaust specialist and ask.

what is this aboutt??? 20bhp? how is it restricted?? how much more petrol would the car use??

I talked with Jp-Auris about those missing 20bhp and here is what he heard from his technician guy and told me: "if you want a better performance you would need to change from the CAT and middle section pipe. Best way is to ask your exhaust systems specialist, I'm just telling you what my garage told me when i got my auris looked at."

I asked my specialist, and he told me that the cat is reducing some power, but not 20bhp in Auris, by changing the pipe and the CAT to a new one you'll be able to gain about 10bhp... But you should ask from your own technician, maybe the one I asked didn't know what he was talking about... I doubt a bit that he knew anything about Auris', it seemed like he didn't know what he was talking about

The springs cost me 220 euros + the installation cost 80 euros... Total price = 300 euros = £266

Thats more like it. Here the labour is way too expensive. I can get the springs for about £120, but the rest is all labour. Toyota dealers are very expensive. I am trying to find other places that would carry out this process for me.

Hello Napis and welcome on TOC!

Do you mean the parkinglights in fron of the car? They're W5W.

Best way is to remove the bulb, there is a text which tells you what type is it...

You should also have in your manual on the same page place where is said

Type E = XXXX. Kinda explanation what do different Types on that list mean.

Best regards, Alex

Actually, I want to change White LED license plate lights, White reverse light, White LED lights inside the car and in the trunk and RED tail and stop lights.

In the page with lights (except from types A,B,C,D, E, G and F) there are only types H11, D4S and HB3. None of them suits in my case.

So, I would be greatfull if you could tell me the types of lights did you use.

Thanks again for your responce and excuse me from the mistakes with the language

It's ok, your english is good and very understandable actually :)

Here are the types:

OUTSIDE THE CAR:

Parking lights (front): T10 W5W

License Plate: T10 W5W

001.jpg

Reverse: Ba15s

l-alrda12r.jpg

INSIDE THE CAR:

SunVisor (Passenger and Driver mirror lights): T10 W5W

Above the gearstick (Rearview mirror lights): T10 W5W

Center of the roof (between the front and rear seats): SV8.5 (11x31mm.)

putkilamppu_85.jpg

Trunk: SV8.5 (16x36mm.)

Same type as center of the roof, but this model is brighter, which is good

when you use it in the trunk.

putki_superflux_6led.jpg

Haven't changed rear lights, as they'll be too bright and no-one will really be

able to notice are there LED bulbs or original ones. But someone has done it

on this forum, and there's a topic regarding it somewhere. Please try to search for

it, I'll do the same and will post the link here if I'll find it :)

Hello newmedia_ltd, and welcome on TOC!

Remus is a quality product, it fits the car's look and also the installation is easy,

just plug & play. Sound is not very loud, but it's sporty, definitely! Remus won't

make your car sound like an old crap with broken exhaust which you can hear

from 2 kilometers when it's approaching, it has a low bass sound when the car is

standing or when you're driving normally (when the rev's are low) the sound is very quiet.

But when you accelerate fast and get the rev's to 3000 and more, your car sound like

a WRC car! But still, even if you accelerate fast, most of the sound is outside. While sitting

in the car it is not disturbing at all, not even close to loud.

Mine cost about 440 euros including taxes and delivery, about the same price

as yours... It is pretty expensive, much more than some universal backbox which costs

50-100 euros, but Remus fits the car easily, has a nice sound and looks different than many others

which is good.

Best regards, Alex

Ordered Shark Fin Antenna from VisualGarage.com and decided to try how it'd look on my car. Didn't have to remove the antenna base

as it can be left under the Shark Fin... My antenna was delivered painted in my car's colour, here is how it looks:
